Why Photography?

I am a chemistry student at New Mexico Tech, though I have always had quite the creative side. I used to sketch for years, but a laboratory incident left me with permanent nerve damage and prevented me from continuing that hobby. I picked up painting shortly after, and really enjoyed it. I still paint occasionally now, but something always felt like it was missing.

What I really wanted was to capture the moments in the world that people often overlook. To really display the beauty of things we take for granted. Maybe its a wilting flower on a bush, that you didn't even look twice at. Or maybe its just a single leaf of a tree. They are all things you might miss if you didn't stop to really appreciate the world around you. And that is why I started doing photography.

It started for me as no more than a hobby. I bought a used camera on ebay and I really found a passion for it. I want to share my moments with the world, so that anyone may appreciate what I've seen.

Photography Services

After my skills improved and I became better at really capturing those special moments, I decided I would make my services available to the public. It wasn't part of my original plan, but I noticed that there aren't many photographers in New Mexico, and even fewer who do it just because they really have a passion for it. I try not to charge much for my services, as it isn't even my main source of income. I charge just enough to make up for what I spend in time photographing, editing, and for the cost of my materials. Because what's really important to me, is making sure that the beauty of life is never forgotten.
